Why It Matters
Wittenberg's capacity to “provide a liberal arts education dedicated to intellectual inquiry and wholeness of person within a diverse residential community” requires attracting, enrolling, and retaining well-rounded students with the collective talent, interests, and abilities to take full advantage of all we have to offer. These academic areas - like the department of biological and environmental sciences - are the heart of our pursuit of knowledge and what gives Wittenberg graduates an edge: inside the classroom and beyond!
How We Can Make A Difference Today
To honor the memory of the late Dave Mason, professor emeritus of biology, a donation can be made to the David L. and Elizabeth A. Mason Endowed Fund for Biology, the department of biological and environmental sciences, or the Witt Fund in Dr. Mason's name.
The David L. and Elizabeth A. Mason Endowed Fund for Biology provides financial assistance to keep the department of biological and environmental sciences laboratories up to date, fund research and internship experiences for students, and provide biology and environmental science student's with scholarships to help them financially during their time at Wittenberg. Help us keep Dr. Mason's passion for biology alive in our students and academic community so we can continue to remember him at Wittenberg for many generations to come.
