Witt in Washington's 30th Birthday!

Help us Celebrate Witt in Washington's 30th Birthday!

The Witt in Washington program is the University’s semester of “studying away” in the District of Columbia metropolitan area. In 1992, Wittenberg partnered with 12 other Lutheran, private, higher education institutions to establish a program where students live, study, and work in the D.C. area for a semester. This program, the Lutheran College Washington Semester program (LCWS), provides students with real-life experiences to further their educational and professional goals. The students intern at various offices, agencies, and departments four days a week, take two evening classes, and participate in weekly fieldtrips to learn more about D.C. and everything it has to offer. Many of the Witt/LCWS alumni return to the area to pursue jobs and graduate school after graduation from Wittenberg.

If you are able, we invite you to donate $30 to the scholarship fund to celebrate 30 years and to continue to provide students with the amazing experiential learning opportunities the Witt in Washington program has to offer.
