The Wittenberg COVID-19 Crisis Fund

On March 18, when Wittenberg announced that we will deliver our academic program through remote instruction for the remainder of the spring semester, many of you reached out to ask how you could help.

The current health crisis presents a challenge unlike anything Wittenberg has faced in modern times – an unprecedented challenge that changes daily and has no definitive end. Tigers coming together as one can help Wittenberg continue to serve the needs of our campus community. While there is no way yet to calculate the full impact of COVID-19 on the Wittenberg community, it has already disrupted campus significantly and will have a negative impact on our already difficult financial situation.

Wittenberg University continues to implement strategies that will help us best manage this crisis while maintaining academic continuity and support the Tiger family, especially our current students. Your gift to The Wittenberg COVID-19 Crisis Fund can provide support for things such as emergency student needs, unforeseen expenses resulting from remote teaching and learning, or virtual meetings with prospective students and their families. We also would like to use these unexpected quiet moments on campus to address some maintenance needs where possible.

We are grateful for all the support Tigers provided in early March for Commit to Witt. We appreciate all the ways in which the Wittenberg community is coming together (even if from a safe physical distance) in the disruptive and traumatic recent days and weeks. Your support will help us sustain our commitment to academic success and ensure we get through these times together. Please make a gift to support our campus community and spread the word about this important effort.
