People - Named Family Scholarships

Naming a scholarship can be a wonderful way to honor a loved one, a favorite professor or your company or foundation while investing in the life of a student. Donors can help determine the scholarship's criteria, e.g. financial need, residency, minimum GPA, field of study or major, transfer student, etc. We celebrate and appreciate our generous alumni, parents, board of directors, foundations and other friends of Wittenberg who have established or support need-based scholarships to the tremendous benefit of our students’ academic aspirations. Learn more about a few of the featured named family scholarships below. Make your gift to support these scholarships or select 'other' on the donation form to write in the name of the named scholarship that is closest to your heart.

Pam Evans Smith '82 Memorial Scholarship  Former Women's Basketball Head Coach and Associate Director of Athletics Pam Smith, class of 1982, had a profound impact upon the athletes she coached and the students she taught over an illustrious Wittenberg University career that spanned more than two decades. Cancer may have claimed her life after a spirited 16-year battle, but Smith's influence on young people will be forever remembered with the establishment of this scholarship, which is awarded annually to a deserving female senior who has demonstrated leadership and academic abilities.
