We are a class that defined a decade, and this is OUR year to return to our beloved Wittenberg to celebrate our 50th reunion on the beautiful campus where so many of our memories were made.
The campus has had numerous physical changes over the past fifty years with new buildings and renovations to previously existing ones, the most significant being the new 135,000 square foot Health, Wellness, and Athletic complex, including the huge indoor practice facility, “The Steemer,” rising above the football field stands at the north end of campus. This enormous project included modernizing the old 1929 Field House and the HPER Center in addition to constructing The Steemer and connecting them all into one massive complex. No other NCAA Division III school has this type of facility. From setting the standard in Division III, to enhancing the University’s student experience, to serving as a regional resource, the facility is sure to propel Wittenberg’s already outstanding athletics tradition. In conjunction with our reunion, you'll have the opportunity to participate in the HWA Opening Celebration on Friday night from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Our reunion committee has selected three priority funds for reunion giving. The Heath Wellness & Athletics facility (HWA), the unrestricted use Wittenberg Fund, and the memorial fund for our friend and classmate, John Lobach. This fund not only memorializes John but supports Witt students who suffer unexpected economic hardships or are in need of emergency economic assistance.
This is an exciting time at Wittenberg. We hope you will join the Reunion Committee in participating generously as we attempt to set a new record of 50th reunion giving with our class gift goal of $300,000 and participation goal of 300 classmate donors. See you in October!
